SFMTA

My Experience: LA, Taipei, SF

Since childhood I have been no stranger to getting around without a car. I grew up in the greater Los Angeles area before any major metro expansions so busses were especially sparce. Although riding bikes was more dangerous, many times it was more convenient.

While Studying abroad in Taipei I experienced for the first time life in a city that substantially supports infrastructure for walking, biking, and public transportation including busses subways and trains. It was amazing. Upon returning to the US I was set on finding a city that was similarly well-connected and consciencious about the environment. I found it in San Francisco.
